How We Promoted a Shoe Website by Traffic in Google: a successful case study of shoe online store promotion through traffic-based SEO (Germany)
A shoe store chain owner from Germany contacted us to boost online sales and attract more buyers from Google Search. We developed an SEO-friendly shoe online store for him and launched long-term traffic-based SEO promotion in Google. Our focus was not just to increase traffic, but to drive targeted organic traffic for transactional search queries with purchase intent, such as "buy shoes in Berlin" and "shoes online store in Germany".

Our goal: to generate targeted organic traffic from Google Search to the website through SEO, as well as to boost on-site sales
What we did: as this is a long-term partnership, we initially developed the online store with SEO in mind and then focused on driving targeted organic traffic. Every month we:
- add new products and categories, optimizing them for transactional queries with purchase intent (e.g., "buy shoes in Berlin", "shoes online store in Germany");
- publish SEO articles that boost category visibility and help attract additional search traffic;
- regularly update the company's Google Maps profile and manage social media channels, adding links to the website to strengthen the brand's presence in Google Search.
The chart shows how, along with the growth of impressions, we
managed to bring the CTR to 10.9% by focusing specifically on
transactional queries.
Project results: looking at the chart showing only organic (free) traffic from Google, it is clear that over the year, from August 2023 to August 2024, the website received 37,500 impressions in search results and 4,110 targeted clicks. At the same time, the average CTR grew from about 2.5% to 10.9% by targeting transactional queries with purchase intent (such as "buy shoes in Berlin", "shoes online store in Germany"). This is an outstanding result for traffic-based website promotion, especially considering that the client has not used paid advertising for a whole year, and all this traffic is purely the result of SEO.
